Our private palazzo is ah-maaaay-zing! Right on a canal, with private waterfront access and boathouse, you’ll be able to experience the magic of light and shadow on the waters of the Venetian lagoons, an effect that has captured the imagination of artists for hundreds of years. Multiple terraces offer beautiful views in all direction, perfect for quiet mediation with an early morning café, or drinks at sunset.

Located on island of San Pietro di Castello, our palazzo is close to the historic Biennale pavilions, but in a wonderfully residential part of the sestieri. Recently renovated by a well-known Italian designer, there are spacious bedrooms with wonderful en-suite bathrooms, a fantastic full-service kitchen as well as smaller “butler” kitchens on the other floors, suitable for drinks and snacks. For those of you who don’t think walking in this city of winding streets, where it is famously easy to get lost, there’s even a gym and a hot tub!

Maid service will be provided, there is laundry on-site and the property is equipped with high-speed wifi The palazzo provides our group with spaces that offer the perfect combination of privacy and companionship, five-star services combined with the relaxed comfort of being a well-liked guest and welcome respite from what is, after all, one of the busiest tourist cities in the world. We’re thrilled to have found such an ideal spot and even more pleased to be able to share it with you!

Our itinerary doesn’t have your ordinary tourist stops (feel free to explore those on your own), instead we’re planning a series of visits and appointments custom-made for your creative eye. This week in Venice will allow you to explore design ranging from centuries-old traditions to the most cutting edge installations. Like our other tours, we’ve put together a schedule that we think is the perfect blend of group excursions with opportunities to experience Venice in your own way. Here’s  just a sampling of how you’ll make everyday extraordinary in Venice.

  • A private, guided tour to Luigi Bevilacqua, one of the world’s top fabric houses.
  • Discover the mystique of Fortuny first-hand.
  • Visit the Rubelli archives, with its textile designs going back to the Middle Ages.
  • A behind-the-scenes look at the intricate process of hand-made lace, an almost-lost Venetian tradition.
  • Design your own Carnevale mask
  • Indulge your senses—scent, taste, sight and touch— with visits to renowned artisans.
  • Guided museum tours including the Correr and Palazzo Mocenigo, Venice’s textile and costume museum
  • Bead / jewelry making
  • Treasure hunting at a world class antique show. Our trip coincides with the the famous three-time-a-year antique show & flea market
  • Create your own scent under the guidance of Mavive Parfums
  • Experience the unique magic of the Venetian lagoon and some of its most famous islands by boat. Start with a visit to Murano to discover its world renown glass.  Then to Burano, famous for its lace and vividly colored houses.
  • Inspiring creative experiences including studio visits and hands-ons opportunities with some of the city’s most famous artistic traditions—glass, lace, paper, Carnivale masks, and much more…

Because we’re located right in the city, and Venetian business hours don’t typically start until 10.00am, with a 2-2.5 hour break for lunch, you’ll have plenty of time to explore the city. Take the morning to visit St. Mark’s Square for breakfast at Florian’s if you’d like. Or grab a sandwich for lunch and take a vaporetti (water bus) trip around the entire island. If you’re a fan of opera, the season at La Fenice, one of the most famous (and famously beautiful) opera houses in the world starts in September. Two famous operas—La Traviata and Madame Butterfly—will be staged during our trip. Any art fan will take the time to visit the international installations at the Biennale, the main pavilions are located very near our palazzo. There’s the “glass island” of Murano and the colored houses of Burano only short boat trips away. All of this with a group of like- mindedindividuals; think of the design camaderie! Oh, and did we mention the shopping?!

We’re still filling out our dance card; there is so much to explore and discover in Venice. Check back for updates.

Interested? Send us an email and we’ll make sure your the first to get all the details.
