Webinar FAQ

What is a webinar?

A webinar is a web-based seminar. Webinars allow you to log in from your computer and connect to the seminar, presentation, lecture or workshop. Webinars also allow  you to listen to the information being presented as well as view the presentation materials. Interactive components of a live webinar include participants submitting questions to the presenter and presenters receiving feedback from his or her audience.
How do your Wednesday Webinars work?

I use Go To Webinar as the host for  my webinars. Wednesday  Webinar participants will register through the Deb Barrett website (click on Webinars). Once registration is complete, you will receive a confirmation email from Go To  with the link to the webinar and the unique user password. A few minutes before the webinar begins, click on the link, enter the password, and follow the instructions to participate in the live webinar. If you are going to be listening to the webinar by phone, dial the phone number in the email, enter the access code and follow the prompts to join.  You’ll be directed to a “waiting room” until the live event begins. If you haven’t used this platform before log in earlier so the software can download to your computer.

Can I view the webinar from my iPad?

Yes, Click here for instructions to download the GoTo meeting App and set up instructions.

Can I earn CEU credits by attending the webinars?

Yes, all the webinars in the series are IDCEC accredited. You must attend the live event to earn credits. The webinars will not be recorded.

How will I show proof of learning?

After the webinar I will send you via email a Certificate of Completion with course codes .  You can then self report. If you have an IDCEC number( starting with 21-) and have provided it to me the day of the webinar,  I will report your attendance online to IDCEC.
