NeoCon

WF-Vision Editorial Director Susan Schultz and Trend Editor Deb Barrett spoke at NeoCon 2010 on the subject of High-Impact Materials for High-Income Projects. The audience of approximately 90 design professionals took copious notes and lingered for half an hour after the session, asking questions and examining the extensive product samples Barrett and Schultz had put together.

This was the team’s fourth year of speaking at NeoCon, the world’s largest interior design market for contract and commercial furnishings. Each year they put together a different topic for this varied audience and each year have received rave reviews.

Once their session was finished on Monday, they had a chance to scope out new products and new introductions. One of the introductions they were most looking forward to seeing in person was the Rodarte fabrics for the Knoll Luxe collection, five upholstery and three drapery fabrics developed by Kate and Laura Mulleavy, fashion industry innovators since they first came on the scene six years ago.

The collection did not disappoint, with the stunning large-scale ombré Auden, making a sweeping statement along one wall, while the intricate textures and subtle colors of the rest of the collection made browsing a pleasure along the other wall.
